Gandalf Sketch

Gandalf:

"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"  To carry on my recent obsession with The Lord of the Rings I have created yet another sketch using the same software on my phone as the Gollum sketch. Gandalf for me has definitely got some wizard swag and is the most comforting character in all of the films, unfortunately I haven't gone into a lot of detail with Gandalf however I will try and give it a good shot soon. 

Creating the light on this picture projected from his staff took a very long time with a lot of erasing and redoing, as you can tell the rocks didn't take long as they don't really look part of the picture. I have been asked before what is my favourite tool to use, my answer is the eraser. Quite simply because making mistakes is how this was actually drawn and also the fact I was bored on the train home. I have always loved to draw from a very early age being creative and able to express myself with a pencil has always been fun; unfortunately I am only good at drawing certain things from the odd cartoon doodle to a fully detailed cock is usually my diverse areas and of course a silhouette of Gandalf.
