Childhood Friend

The Addiction

When I was age 6 my dad got given a PlayStation for his birthday, completely mesmorised by this giant grey box I was eager to find out how this thing worked. After playing a good few hours of Le Mans 24 Hours with the parents each taking it in turns and mum continuously saying "the trick is to drive slowly" I knew that this grey box was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Safe to say the PlayStation became mine and I started to spend more and more hours each day playing it, 6 seems a very young age to get addicted to anything never mind the fact that I probably didn't even know what the word meant... or how to spell it.

As life carried on and more and more bosses and bad guys defeated I found myself with 2 full draws of games, the urge to have as many games as possible yet having none to play #guyproblems was and still is a big problem whether its the fact that I can't be bothered to get up and change the game or I've played it so much that even the game doesn't want to go in the disc tray. I sometimes spend around 20 mins deciding what game to play weighing up the perks and what kind of mood I'm in, even when I was aged 6 I would run home excited to play free roam on The Italian Job (Best GTA rip off ever!) and spend hours and hours trying to be a good driver.

For me the PlayStation never got old I still have it to this day and is still going strong, Definitely a childhood friend.
